Queen of the Farm

Spot was born on a very cold night, February 27, 2002. I went out to check goats at dark and heard a little 'peep'. I found her still in her birth sack and not cleaned or claimed by any one. I quickly brought her in the house and got her all warmed up and fed. I finally figured out her mom but she took no interest in Spot. Spot lived in the house (the only goat to do so here). She had sweaters to wear and thought she was a house dog. For a while she could fit in the doggie door to go in and out. Finally at 3 months, she had to learn to be a goat. But alas, she may live in the barn now...she is still our number one girl and will never leave. She has been very consistent in giving us spotted kids. We did show her once and she won her class at the local fair. We love her no matter what.
