Schnoodles

Welcome to the Schnoodle page! We raise Miniature Schnoodles. A Schnoodle is a first cross between a Poodle and a Schnauzer. We have miniatures of both breeds, so our Schnoodles are Miniatures. A major plus is that Schnoodles do not shed so they make great family pets. They will require grooming, but it is your taste to the hair cut choice you make for your pet.

Our sire is Scott's Jackson aka "Jack". Jack is an AKC Miniature Poodle, 12 ½" tall and 12 lbs at maturity. His sire and dam were both AKC TOY poodles. Jack is a personality and must be the center of attention. He always has tricks up his paws and keeps us on our toes. He is just as playful at 5 years of age as he was at 3 months. He loves when we have puppies so he has someone to play with. He was whelped on May 26, 2001. We purchased him in 2001 from Joyce Scott, Alto Springs Puddle Puppy Kennel in Kosse TX.

Jentsch's Princess Ryan is a Salt & Pepper color Miniature Schnauzer. She was born on July 22, 1999. She came to us via a niece so we do not know about her breeder. She is AKC registered. "Princi" is 14" tall and a plump 16 lbs. She is the boss in the house. She is most happy when she has puppies to love and is a very good mother. She has even adopted a baby lamb. She dotes on her puppies and misses them when they all are gone. The puppies are usually of 2 colors and 2 sizes. As of 2005 we have had 4 litters of puppies. The litters consisted of 13 females and 7 males combined. Females are the most popular request. The puppies are black, chocolate or a brown brindle color, which doesn't begin to show up until they are around 6 weeks of age. We have also had atleast one pup in each litter that appears to be smaller, not at birth like a runt. Around 6 weeks of age they will not be as large as the others, their growth seems to slow. We think these will be toy-sized pups from Jack's side of the gene pool, but we do not guarantee them toy size. Most pups that we have kept in contact with are around 12 lbs at adulthood.

Our newest addition in 2006 is Drama Queen aka "Queenie". Queenie is a white Miniature Schnauzer female that should be smaller than Princess. She was whelped on 9/23/05 and weighed in at 3 lbs at 3 months of age. Mustang Prairie Schnauzer, Diane O'Neal, Kosse TX bred Queenie and she is AKC registered.

Our puppies are born and raised in the family home. They are exposed to other pets including cats. We have a very busy house (three boys and lots of friends), usually noisy so the puppies are very accustomed to loud noises, animals and new people. They will have their tails docked and dewclaws clipped plus first hair cuts at time of sale. I do give the puppies a Schnauzer hair cut at about 7 weeks of age. The puppies are available at 8 weeks. They will have their first shots and deworming by then. We sell them, first come, first served and no shipping.
